Megawatt Coaching - branding and web redesign case study
Amy Watt is a career coach for PR professionals and comms specialists. Through Megawatt Coaching, she helps her clients find for more purpose, meaning and fullfilment. She offers both one-to-one coaching, as well as training programs for companies.
Amy is trained in Psychodynamic Coaching, which allows her to blend subconscious shadow work, meditations and calming body awareness techniques with more traditional, results-oriented coaching.

Amy created her website a few years ago and since then her client base has changed and become more senior. She wanted her website to give a clearer picture of her work and results that she help her clients achieve.
She also wanted it to reflect the level of professionalism and expertise her business provides. Amy was ready for a clean & minimal website that:
- Compels new clients to book consultations with her by showing how deeply she understands her clients' journey
- Becomes a powerful marketing tool - helping her build mailing list and promote a lead magnet
- Help raising visibility of her brand in the industry
Project goals
The "before"
Until we worked together Amy’s biggest challenge was not having the technical abilities to redesign her website.
“It held me back from promoting my business so it felt unsatisfying and made me feel less professional than I could and not so confident about my offer.”

The "after"
Amy Watt: branding and Sqarespace website design
Colors
I chose a minimal and clean color palette combined with an energizing, yet feminine and elegant shade of pink in order to reflect Amy’s peaceful, yet confident and inspiring presence.
Fonts
To create timeless, refined and classic look Amy was after, I used Lora for headings and Monserrat for body text. By choosing a Serif font for headings, I also wanted to honor the industry Amy and her audience origniate from. Serifs were the first typefaces used to print books and magazines and they convey the timeless and classic beauty of the print.
Logos & brand mark
The Primary logo
With this concept, I wanted to create a timeless, elegant, and premium logo suite. The design is clean and minimal yet charming and welcoming. Script font creates the feeling of personal connection.
The secondary logo is perfect for cases where a horizontal shape is needed, like the header for her email newsletters.
The brand mark can be used as a decorative element in promotional brochures, teaching materials, and social media posts.

One of Amy’s goals was to make sure the website reflects how deeply she understands her audience – their challenges, limitations, and aspirations.
She wanted to create a feeling for her audience of being understood, inspired, and ready to make changes. We used images that accurately create relatedness and build motivation to take action.

I brought together a color palette, fonts, Amy’s photographs and stock images and I created a clean website layout that presents the services in a compelling way and provides clear call to action.
By building a clear user journey that starts from connecting with her audience, presenting her offerings as a solution, to booking a call with Amy, I ensured the website encourages only good-fit clients to connect with Amy.
The completed website was built on Squarespace 7.1 Fluid Engine and is made up of the following elements:
- 1. Core pages: Homepage, about page, contact page
- 2. 2 sales pages about Amy's coaching programs
- 3. Lead magnet pop up and Opt in page
- 4. Blog with 5 posts
- 5. Google Analytics and Google Search Console integration
- 6. Elements required by law: Privacy Policy and Cookie Banner
